FUNGSI INDEKSIKAL REFERENSIAL DAN NONREFERENSIAL PADA KONSTRUKSI DIATESIS BAHASA JEPANG (REFERENTIAL AND NONREFERENTIAL INDEXICAL FUNCTIONS IN JAPANESE VOICE CONSTRUCTIONS)

Abstract


Penelitian ini membahas fungsi dan makna indeksikal konstruksi diatesis bahasa Jepang. Dalam tradisi linguistik Barat, konstruksi diatesis merupakan piranti untuk menyatakan makna proposisional mengenai hubungan di antara partisipan dengan situasi yang digambarkan verba. Dengan menggunakan kerangka indeksikal referensial dan nonreferensial, penelitian ini mencoba menjelaskan fungsi konstruksi diatesis bahasa Jepang bermakna  nonproposisional. Fungsi dan makna indeksikal dijelaskan melalui pengontrasan paradigmatis  terkait makna konstruksi yang membentuk seperangkat opsi terbatas dalam penentuan pilihan penutur. Penelitian ini menjelaskan bahwa indeksikal referensial berfungsi pula menyatakan makna evaluatif penutur seperti ‘stance’ afektif/emotif terhadap partisipan peristiwa yang selama ini oleh peneliti dianggap dinyatakan melalui indeksikal nonreferensial. Penelitian ini menjelaskan pula bahwa makna indeksikal nonreferensial konstruksi diatesis bahasa Jepang dapat mencakup sikap mental yang meliputi sikap menjaga citra diri, sikap menimbang rasa orang lain dan sebagainya. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa fungsi indeksikal referensial maupun nonreferensial pada konstruksi diatesis bahasa Jepang berhubungan erat dengan kehidupan sosial budaya Jepang.
